DRAWING FOUNDATIONS VANCOUVER

Welcome to this exciting drawing program!

Small group and private classes available.

Classes are held at my Vancouver, BC studio: #315-1000 Parker St.

The goals of this six-week program are:

• The Block-in -Finding simple shapes underlying complex structures.
• Measured Drawing- Sighting angle directions and finding proportions in your drawing.
• Value Pattern - Seeing and simplifying patterns of black and white and grouping tones into larger shadow and light shapes.
• Rendering - Creating the illusion of volume through drawing.
• Understanding the progression of a drawing from block -in to rendering.
• Understanding concepts of history and theory of drawing through talks during class.

These skills can be taken to the next level of drawing in any medium.

The skills students acquire through this course will also be invaluable skills as they move into painting in any medium.

SPRING 2025 Start dates:           Wednesdays, May 21st ^-June 25th   6:30-8:30pm

                                                     Thursdays,     May 22nd -June 26th     6:30-8:30pm

Cost $ 325 for six 2-hour classes
